Every year, the Elite 40 Under 40 class is selected by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson and recognized for their innovation, talent and leadership.
More than 500 applications and nominations were reviewed by a panel of judges, looking for the top 40 young professionals and trail blazers who live or work in Oakland County. The 40 honorees have achieved excellence in their field and contributed to the quality of life in their communities.
We are proud and honored to announce we have been selected to be apart of this year’s Elite 40 Under 40!
“Nancy and I were pleasantly surprised when we received the news that we were both selected for the Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 under 40,” said Stephanie Tomovska. “This past year has been amazing for our company and our product Unmarx. We are thankful to Oakland County for its support in our growth.”
Stance has had much success with their first product, Unmarx, a reusable cleaning pad that easily erases a variety of unexpected clothing marks. Over the past year, Unmarx has created relationships with 3 major retailers, Walgreens, Whole Foods Market and Ace Hardware, in addition to boutiques, yoga studios and pet stores. They are now sold in over 100 retail stores in Michigan and adding new stores regularly.
Stance also strongly believes in social responsibility. After losing their mother to breast cancer, donating to the cause has been a personal mission of theirs. Stance donates a portion of their annual proceeds from Unmarx to breast cancer organizations, donate products and volunteer with charitable organizations throughout the year which are making a difference and impact in their communities.
“We are honored to be apart of such a talented group of individuals,” said Nancy Tomovska. “We are looking forward to representing Oakland County and will continue to contribute to this great community.”
